At Edge, we’re always innovating to improve your experience. Recently, we’ve been hard at work on upgrading the Edge Customer Portal; we’re excited to announce two new self service features!
Manage CPU and RAM on your CloudPlus 4 virtual servers. Pop into the Edge Portal and increase their vCPUs and RAM whenever you need it. If you are no longer consuming vCPUs or RAM, easily scale down to a more suitable size (and later ramp back up as needed).
Need to restore a file on your dedicated server? Don’t know when a file changed? Portal allows you to search for specific files and see every backup in which the file was changed. Edge added this functionality to the “Backups & Recovery” tab of the System Details page. Please see the image below for visual instruction. (Note: The portal requires both Filepath and Filename to locate all restorable versions of a file.)
Let’s take a look at an example. When you search for a file, you are presented with all restorable versions of that file. You should then be able to select the version you wish to restore, indicate the restore location and then perform the restore.
We’re always working to improve your user experience. If you run into any issues while using these features—whether new or old—don’t hesitate to give us a call for help; we’re here 24/7 for you. Similarly, if you have any suggestions for improvements to the self service portal, we’re happy to hear them.
Stay tuned as we continue to upgrade our Customer Portal!
