Edge Raises Money For The Maryland Food Bank

Members of the Edge team participated in this past weekend’s 4th Annual Spinners for Dinners, hosted by Canton Club Health and Fitness. Spinners for Dinners is a 24 hour cycle-thon in which the club offers 24 consecutive cycling classes. The event raised over $13,000 for the Maryland Food Bank.

The Maryland Food Bank distributes food through over 800 shelters, soup kitchens, and food pantries in the state of Maryland. The Maryland Food Bank has seen a 30 – 50 percent increase in services needed as a result of the economic recession. Although the homeless are the most visible people needing help, there are thousands of low income families struggling to afford food

We want to congratulate our own Andy W., a member of “Team 24/7” who lasted the entire 24 hours. Way to go Andy!
